St John’s What?

In 2001, a rash of bad press came out claiming that St. John’s Wort didn’t actually help with depression. This was based on the real published title of “St. John’s Wort Ineffective in Treating Major Depression.” Forget that most of the revised titles excluded the word ‘major,’ even though the study re-proved the remedy’s success with regular depression. Forget that there were some 30 major studies previously proving that St. John’s Wort does work on major depression. Forget that the study specifically and purposely used a lower dosage than had worked in the past.
Oh, and forget that it was funded by Pfizer, the manufacturer of the antidepressant Zoloft (not that there’s anything wrong with that o_O).
