In the constant struggle for attention, media sources have begun to post outright lies in their subject lines. For example, some years back a regular scandal was started when headlines claimed “Cancer Link Found With Vitamin C.” Of course the researchers themselves were the first to state that their findings gave absolutely no credence to these claims. The real study was mildly scientifically interesting at best, since all it did was determine there was a way to make antioxidants into oxidants if they were given a bunch of very specific circumstances that have nothing to do with the real human body.

Essentially, they found out that they can make vitamin C cause cancer in a test tube, not in a human.
